VISA Check Cards and VISA Credit Cards The
new terms are effective April 2, 2005. The following new terms supersede
the provisions entitled “Foreign Transactions” contained in your
current VISA Credit Card Disclosure.
A section entitled “Foreign Transactions” has been added to the
VISA Check Card Disclosure. Foreign Transactions. Purchases and cash advances made in foreign countries or initiated in foreign currencies will be billed in U.S. dollars. The conversion rate to U.S. dollars will be either (1) a rate selected by VISA International from a range of rates available in wholesale currency markets for the applicable central processing date, which rate may vary from the rate VISA International itself receives, or (2) the government-mandated rate in effect for the applicable central processing date, plus a one percent (1%) fee assessed by VISA International via the Credit Union. The International Service Assessment Fee will be applied to all cross-border transactions, including both foreign currency conversion transactions and foreign transactions billed in U.S. dollars. The currency conversion rate used on the processing date may differ from the rate that would have been used on the purchase date or cardholder statement posting date. |
