Cool Kids Carnival Fun
Week Draws Record Crowds
 |
Coinciding with the arrival of summer, our credit union’s
annual Cool Kids Fun Week saw record turnouts in
Steubenville, Chester, Weirton’s Three Springs Drive and
Wheeling. All office managers, joined by other credit union
employees, pitched in to form an enthusiastic team of Cool
Kids Fun Week overseers.
Hundreds of kids turned out June 22 – June 25, to enjoy
traditional summer menus (hot dogs, popcorn, snow cones,
bottled water), plus diversions such as face painting,
balloon creations, crazy hats, bouncing in the Bouncer and
“ring the bell” with a vigorous swing of a mallet.
Entertainment from FROGGY Radio Station, Clowns Peanut &
Hazelnut, and Jim Tate the Magic Man added to the
festivities. Local law enforcement introduced children to
their k-9 police dogs. Each child walked away with a bag
full of goodies, while four children won baskets worth over
$100. The baskets included a variety of games, along with 4
tickets to Kennywood.
Ideal summer weather prevailed at all of the Cool Kids
carnival-like events attracting hundreds of youngsters—many
of whom will someday become thrifty members of our credit
union! |
